“Eye See … Eye Learn® Start-up Package” is launched in B.C.
Eye See … Eye Learn® (ESEL) represents an opportunity for BC Doctors of Optometry to deliver eye care to more Kindergarten children, and to serve our children in a way that is both important and perhaps even critical to their development. We learn better and faster when we can see properly, at any age.
How does the program work?
In participating school districts, families of Kindergarten children will receive the Eye See … Eye Learn® (ESEL) “Parent Information Letter” introducing them to the program. The letter will act as a voucher for those eligible.
Parents will select a participating BC Doctor of Optometry listed and will call directly to make an appointment for their child.
The current program will run from October 15, 2014 through August 31, 2015.
Who is eligible for the program?
Only current kindergarten students in participating school districts (Burnaby, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Victoria, Cowichan Valley, and Central Okanagan) are eligible to receive an eye exam and free eyeglasses under the ESEL program.
